Narrative Description of Project:

Detailed designing and development of 139 km long Da Nang – QuangNgai Expressway including bridges for promoting economic development in the central region and nation; ensuring traffic safety; saving travel time; and easing vehicular movements.

Description of Actual Services Provided by Your Staff:

Analyzed frequencies of hydrological and meteorological data; and prepared rainfall IDF curves. Estimated runoffs in rivers and determined design high water levels in rivers, designed culverts, side drain and cross drain structures and simulated bridges flow and analyzed the general and local scouring depths under bridges. HEC-RAS was employed for river and bridge flow modeling and for bridge scour analysis. Flood inundation modelling was done by MIKE FLOOD, identified the flood risk areas, prepared flood maps and proposed mitigation measures.
