This project was aimed to develop an optimal water use model for Kathmandu valley with conjunctive use of surface and groundwater.

Set up physically based distributed hydrological model MIKE SHE; and set up water allocation and river basin management model MIKE BASIN to achieve optimal sectoral-water allocation considering various scenarios of pre and post Melamchi periods.
